North Georgia’s Hair Extension Specialists

Extensions should be designed around your hair. Not the other way around.

There is no one “best” hair extension method. There is only the method that makes the most sense for your natural hair, your lifestyle, and what you want your extensions to do.

That’s why our team at FOIL+GLOSS is trained and certified in all hair extension methods, with advanced education focused on customized installations, placement, blending, and color matching.

We specialize in K-Tips, Micro K-Tips, I-Tips, Seamless Weft Sew-In Extensions, Tape-Ins, and customized Hybrid Extension installations.

Sometimes one method is perfect, however Sometimes the most natural result comes from combining two or three.

That’s where we come in!

Our goal is never to simply add hair. It’s to create extensions that blend into your natural hair so well that nobody knows where your hair ends and the extensions begin.

Located in Blairsville, Georgia, FOIL+GLOSS serves extension clients throughout North Georgia, including Blue Ridge, Hiawassee, Ellijay, Murphy, NC, and many clients who travel from the Atlanta area for customized hair extension services.

All about our extension methods

K-TIP EXTENSIONS K-Tips are individual strands attached to the natural hair using a small keratin bond. Because each strand moves independently, they are a great option for clients who want natural movement, flexibility, and a very customized placement. Best for: Fullness, length, fine to medium hair, and clients who like to wear their hair up. Maintenance: K-Tips are typically worn for 3–5 months before removal and replacement.

MICRO K-TIP EXTENSIONS Micro K-Tips are smaller, more discreet versions of traditional K-Tips. We use them in areas where standard bonds may feel too large, especially around the hairline, temples, and finer sections of the hair. Best for: Fine hair, filling in the sides, adding density around the face, and creating an extra seamless blend. Maintenance: Typically worn for 3–5 months before removal and replacement.

I-TIP EXTENSIONS I-Tips are individual strands attached using a small bead instead of adhesive or keratin. They offer natural movement and can be adjusted during maintenance appointments. Best for: Clients who want individual strand placement without a bonded method. Maintenance: Move-up appointments are generally needed every 6–8 weeks depending on growth.

SEAMLESS WEFT SEW-IN EXTENSIONS Seamless Wefts create fullness and length by attaching a thin row of hair to a beaded foundation. The weft is then sewn into place for a secure, comfortable installation. Best for: Clients wanting a lot of hair, added density, or significant length. Maintenance: Move-ups are typically needed every 6–8 weeks. Care: Brush between the rows, keep the scalp and attachment area clean and dry, and always use heat protection when styling. TAPE-IN EXTENSIONS Tape-Ins use thin, lightweight adhesive panels that sit flat against the natural hair. They are quick to install and create a smooth, discreet result. Best for: Fine to medium hair, adding fullness, and clients who want a flatter attachment. Maintenance: Reinstallation is typically needed every 6–8 weeks.

HYBRID HAIR EXTENSIONS Hybrid Extensions combine two or more methods in one installation. For example, we may use Seamless Wefts through the back for fullness and Micro K-Tips around the sides or hairline where a weft cannot give the same natural blend. Best for: Clients who need a fully customized solution or want the most seamless result possible. Maintenance: Depends on the methods used, but most clients return every 6–8 weeks for maintenance.
